Job Description
Locum Ready is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners in Mossend.
This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across well-run GP practices with clear clinical pathways, supportive administration and reliable digital systems to keep clinics running efficiently. You will work within an experienced multidisciplinary team, with structured triage and appointment templates designed to protect clinical time and support safe decision-making.
Up to 3 days a week available, with flexible sessions to suit your diary.
Role Snapshot
• Primary care ANP clinics with a mix of same-day demand and planned reviews, supported by established systems and clear escalation routes.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic presentations.
• Provide same-day triage and face-to-face appointments in line with agreed pathways.
• Prescribe safely and appropriately within scope and local formulary.
• Request and interpret investigations, escalating when required.
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation and coding.
• Contribute to safeguarding, clinical governance and quality improvement activity as needed.
Requirements
• NMC registration with advanced practice experience in primary care.
• Independent Prescriber qualification.
• Confident assessment and management of undifferentiated presentations.
• Strong knowledge of long-term condition management and medicines optimisation.
• Experience with EMIS or SystmOne preferred.
• Up-to-date safeguarding and basic life support training.
Working Pattern
• Locum, part-time, temporary or contract options available.
• Up to 3 days per week, with AM or PM sessions and ad-hoc cover considered.
• Clinic templates and session lengths agreed in advance for clarity and consistency.
